Bill, so sorry to hear of Claire’s passing. I remember having you both over for dinner at our place in Florida when my parents were visiting. My Mom always spoke very highly of Claire and considered her a good friend. Several times when I came home to Grand Bank during the summer I had coffee with Claire and my Mom. It was a pleasure to hear them talk about quilting and to see Claire’s paintings. Please accept our sincere condolences.

Mrs. Tibbo was one of my favourite teachers. I remember she taught me Grade Two and she would always allow me the opportunity to bring books from home to read to my classmates. I have always wanted to follow in her footsteps; which I did! She got sick that year and had to go off work; I missed her terribly! My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this most difficult time.

Mr. Tibbo, Kim, Colin and families.
I was very saddened to hear of Mrs. Tibbo’ s passing. I truly believe that I grew up with the best neighbours and as we all moved away, your mom was always glad to see me and ask how everyone was. I know she has had a rough life, I’d always be afraid she’d fall coming across the yard for coffee, to get a recipe or even for a chat over quilting. It’s difficult to loose our moms, but her memory will live on. Big hugs to you all. Rest easy Mrs. Tibbo, I’m sure you were greated with open arms

Bill, Kim, Colin, Heidi, Kurtis, William , Kent and extended family, Sincere condolences to you all.
Clara and I met while teaching together in 1967.Bill and Randell were childhood friends. Through the years we have had weekend suppers together and played cards, we holidayed together in Florida with our children, we skidooed and had boil ups, we cut firewood on weekends. We took trips to Comfort Cove.
Clara and I made quilts together, Carebears and RaggedyAnns for our children, Christmas decorations……hers were works of art, mine not so much. One summer we took our children to PEI (without our husbands, which was an extraordinary thing to do back then).
But Clara always said said her very favourite memories were her trips on our sailboat. We brought our children, I brought lots of Gravol and we both brought lots of knitting. Our South Coast is absolutely beautiful and we explored it for years.
In the 80’s we were back to university and finished our teaching degrees. That’s when Clara’s health issues began. On convocation day, I was so scared she would fall walking to get her diploma.
As friends and family, we all know, how she dealt with her surgeries and pain with such determination and such a positive attitude for the last 30+ years.
Clara was unique and very gifted. Your days of pain are over, Clara. I was so lucky to have you in my life.
Rest easy, my friend. Joan and Randell Pope
