mary and i have been forever friends .She was my cousin who always called me her little sister .I was named for her mom and when mary left home I spent all my growing up years split between my mom and aunt Theresas house When i got to be a teenager i spent a lot of time in burin with mary especially looking after Irving when she was expecting Derrick .Mary and i had a special bond ,i always spent time with her in the summer when i was lin st johns doing my nursing when i went home on holidays i couldnt wait to go spend time with mary and frank .In later years we became even more close ,we called each other every week .for a number of years she came to my house and spent xmas with me and my family ,We never hung up the phone without saying i love you .I went to burin in june to see her and had plans to go back but unfortunately .I could not do it and could not attend her funeral that i regret ,I will miss you mary and love you forever

Mary warmly welcomed us into her home when we visited Newfoundland in 2018. Our visit to Karen’s family home was a highlight of our trip. Mary’s warmth and love will always be remembered.

We spent much time together at the old burin hospital, coworkers, friends, shared a room and many laughs.
We can’t share any more tomorrows , but our yesterdays are always here.
