It is with great sadness the family of Joseph Smith of Fortune annouce his passing at Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on May 28th, 2024 at the age of 97 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons Stanley (Lucy) of Fortune, Albert (Edna) of Grand Bank, Charlie (Melvina) of ON and Terry (Michelle) of Stephenville; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters-in-law Bessie Smith and Ruth Smith; special friend Fred Bonnell plus a large circle of other family and friends.

Predeceased by wife Susannah; parents Violet and Charlie; brothers George, Jim, Jack and Abe and sister Hannah.

Family will be accepting visitors from Serenity Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Thursday, May 30th from 2-4PM and 7-9PM and May 31st from 2-4PM and 7-9PM.

Funeral service will take place from United Church, Fortune on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 1PM with interment to follow at United Cemetery, Fortune.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
