My thoughts and prayers are being sent to the Brown family and to everyone who loved Gert. She was a wonderful woman that I have so many fond memories of. She was a great friend to my grandmother, Mary Power. They went to church together and played bingo together. My sister Natasha and I always said that we never knew where we would see her. One day I was driving in Placentia on a very windy day and saw her and Nora hanging onto each other trying to walking across the Placentia Bridge. She will be missed dearly. Rest peacefully Ms. Gert. Fly high with the angels and give my Nanny Power a hug from me.
