Walter will always be remembered as a kind and fair man. You met him once and he was your friend. His loyalty could be counted on, you only had to ask and he would help anyone. He loved to chat with everyone and when he went to live at Blue Crest he was delighted. He was a frequent visitor there so when it was his time to make it his home the transition was easy he already knew all the staff and residents. He loved his days at Blue Crest and was loved by all the residents and staff.
He loved the outdoors and planting trees and flowers. He delighted in doing anything good in the world. He was devoted to his church and attended almost everyone’s funeral. His devotion for everyone and everything was who he was, he gave his all.
The love he had for his children was easy to see but even more so for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The sparkle in his eye was all the evidence you needed to see the love he had for them all.
He will be missed by his family but his love for them will always be with them. He was a man that was an honor and privilege to have known.
The family will be accepting visitors and friends from Salvation Army Citadel, Garnish on Thursday, January 16th and Friday, January 17th from 2-4PM and 7-9PM.
Funeral Service to take place from Salvation Army Citadel, Garnish on Saturday, January 18th at 2PM with interment following at Salvation Army Cemetery, Garnish.
