Mom was a woman of quiet strength and deep love, and she had an unwavering commitment to those who meant the most to her. Her determination and resilience gave her the courage to persevere despite her health battles. What truly defined mom was her love for family and her ability to find joy in life’s simple pleasures. One of mom’s greatest joys was becoming a grandmother to her beloved grand daughter, Maggie. Watching her grow up and sharing in all her life’s activities created some of the happiest moments of mom’s life. Sharing a special bond with Maggie filled her with immense pride and joy. Though mom was a soft-spoken woman, her presence spoke volumes. Her gentleness, humility and kindness made her a friend to many. She always enjoyed the company of her friends whether it was playing bingo or a good game of cards. She found happiness in her and I watching her favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, play on Saturday nights. Mom’s compassionate nature was not only evident in how she treated others, but also in how much she loved animals. My world as I knew it, has ceased to exist and life as I know it, will never be the same. She was my world and taking care of her was my greatest honor. I was her protector and guardian and I so wish I could still wrap her in my arms. Although mom is no longer with us physically, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. We will miss her deeply, but will find comfort in knowing that she will forever remain a part of us. She is loved beyond measure and will never be forgotten.
There will be a Family viewing Friday Night from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

The family would like to thank the wonderful and kind nurses of the medicine floor who treated mom with so much dignity and respect and took so much gentle care with her. A special thank you to the social workers, occupational and speech therapist, who helped to make certain that mom was so well taken care off. I could not have wished for any better. A very special thank you to Dr. Fitzpatrick, Dr. McCarthy, Dr. Tarasov and Dr. Le, who did everything they could for both mom and us throughout her last few months. The compassion, respect, and kindness shown has meant so much to our family.
