Obituary of Brenda Brown
It is with great sadness the family of Brenda J. Brown of Mortier announce her passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on September 24th, 2024 at the age of 74 years.
Leaving to mourn with precious and loving memories her husband John of 57 wonderful years of marriage; sons John (Rosalind) of Mortier and Robert (Shelly) of Burin; daughter Margaret (Isaac) Fitzpatrick of Mortier; beloved grandchildren Daniel (Jennifer), Meagan (Jeremy), Morgan (Marcus), Jeremy, Jamie (Tiffany), Rory (Danielle), Thomas (Jillian), Joseph, Shyanne, Sadie and Cora; great grandchildren Aliya, Shae, Cooper, Quinn, Hunter and Jackson; siblings Dorothy (Lou) and Robert (Lillian); sisters-in-law Phyllis Brown and Julie Ranson; special friends Sharon Murphy and Angela Picco plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by son Baby Richard; daughter Diana; great granddaughter Harper Rose; brothers Albert and Joseph; parents Joseph and Delphina Ranson; parents-in-law John and Margaret Brown and brothers-in-law Daniel (Gertrude), Patrick (Alice), Donaitus and Aloysius
Brenda grew up in Louisbourg, Cape Brenton. That's where she met her husband Jack and moved to Mortier, NL the following year. Her life was filled with the love of her family. She cooked so many meals in her kitchen and fed whoever wanted a Mug Up.
Brenda was so special to her children and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She made many cups of Tea and they thought NAN'S was the best! She loved to chat and listen to their journeys in life and was grateful to be included. She didn't tell you what you wanted to hear, but what you needed to hear to help guide those around her.
In Keeping with Brenda's wishes cremation will take place.
A celebration of Brenda's life will be announced at a later date.
