Sad to hear of our co workers passing . Freeman was a very humble and a true gentleman. He was our charge hand when us young lads started at old shipyard . He was always there to give us advise and guidance along the way . And a few good chuckles to brighten our day .
Condolences to his family
RIP Freeman

Della, Lynn and family, sorry to hear of Uncle Freeman’s passing. Such a gentle and sweet man. I remember every Christmas morning he would come over to our house, after we had our gifts open, to wish us Merry Christmas. A tradition he kept even after we had moved away from home. Loved him dearly

Dear Della and Lynn,
My deepest condolences to you and all your family on the passing of your darling Dad.
I'd like to share with you my earliest memory of your Dad that continues to stay with me to this day.
When we were kids of 6 or 7 we were playing "Rounders" in the yard of Mr. Jim Inkpen's along with his posse of kids.
Your Mom called you home for lunch and you invited me along with you. I don't remember what the sandwichs were made of, but I sure remember what the dessert was.
It was a glorious hot, sunny day, and we were eating picnic style on the veranda of your house in Burin, when your Dad came out holding a huge bowl of Watermelon! I had never tasted it before, but I loved it! I ate the first piece seeds and all! He showed me how to get the seeds out and said it would be ok if I swallowed one or two. That memory has stayed with me all my life. I can't pass by a watermelon without the vision of a smiling, slim, dark curly haired man looking at me in wonder.
RIP Mr. Freeman, you will forever live on in my heart.
