Obituary of Clyde Scott
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Clyde Scott of Little Harbour East on March 2nd, 2024 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital at the age of 72 years.
Clyde was born and raised in Little Harbour East to two loving parents and had many brothers and sisters. Clyde was a quiet, caring man who found the love of his life, Elsie, just a few kilometers away in Harbour Mille. They married in 1977 and had two beautiful daughters who Clyde cherished. Later, he took much pride in spending time with his five grandchildren who he adored and loved with all his heart.
Clyde spent most of his days on the waters, fishing for a living. When he retired, he then spent much time in his shed, building and fixing whatever he could. He took pride in his vegetable gardens, enjoyed playing darts and watching hockey. He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
Predeceaded by his parents George and Elizabeth Scott; sisters Lillian Martin, Elsie Hynes, and Olive Banfield.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 46 years, Elsie, daughters Janice (Cluney) and Amanda (Jason); grandchildren Brady, Cassie, Annabella, Alyssa ,Juliana; and stepgrandson Jacob; brothers Max (Kay), Sam (Diane) and Brian (Sandy), Guy (Sharon), sisters Shirley(Clar) and Gloria (Terry); brothers-in-laws George (Judy), Dennis (Brenda) and Eric (DeeDee); sisters-in-law Nancy, Freda and mother-in-law Jane Baker; a large circle of nieces and nephews who adored him and many friends and family.
In keeping with Clyde’s wishes cremation has taken place.
They will be receiving family and friends on Tuesday March 5, 2024 6-8pm from St. Mary's Anglican Church Harbour Mille.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 6th at St.Mary’s Anglican Church on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 2pm with burial following at Anglican Cemetery, Little Harbour.
