Rest in peace Pop… I’m heartbroken your gone but I’m so happy your no longer suffering and your up top watching over us with Nan, I know how much you missed her. You were the sweetest most kindhearted man on the planet and I hope one day I can become half the man you were. Your presence lit up every room, you loved to have a chat with anyone. You only had to meet a person once and you were their friend forever and would bend over backwards to help them. You were a fun, loving and very caring man who would give the shirt off his back if anyone needed it. You didn’t have a bad bone in your body. I wish I could hug you one more time.. I’m so incredibly grateful for the short amount of time I got to spend with you and the lessons you taught me. Although it’s difficult to see beyond the sorrow, looking back at the memories helps comfort me for tomorrow. You were one hell of a man Charlie Walters. We lived over 6000 kilometres apart but you always felt so close to me.. You were my biggest supporter and every time we spoke you never let me forget how proud of me you were, leaving me in tears every time I put the phone down. You loved your family more than anything. You left behind 8 children, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and not a single one of us will ever forget you or your loving heart. Bye for now. I’ll see you on the other side. I love you so much Pop.. xoxo❤️

As I sit here reflecting on the memories we shared, my heart swells with gratitude for the gift of your presence in my life. Pop Charlie you were more then a great grandfather to me you were a beacon of wisdom, a source of endless laughter and a guiding light that illuminated the path of my journey, though you may have bid farewell to this world your spirit lives on in the laugher of echoes through your memories, the stories you shared and the love that binds us together as family❤️ I love you forever and always Pop! ❤️

To all the Walters Families, I was so sad to hear of Charlie's passing. He was a big part of my life in my younger years. He always made me feel at home and welcomed me with open arms whenever I saw him. He was a kind and wonderful man. Loved his family so much and only wanted the best for them. I loved listening to him talk to his CB friends around the world. He so enjoyed connecting with his friends near and far. He will be sadly missed but always fondly remembered. Remember those special memories as they will get you through the darkest days. Sending prayers, love and hugs to all the his family at this difficult time. Rest in peace Charlie as you are now reunited with Edith. Take care everyone. ❤️

I had the great pleasure of calling Charlie my “big” pop, he was always so full of smiles and would tell the greatest of stories, he definitely made a room light up with his big smiles and jokes, he truly was one in a million and I’ll forever be grateful of being able to know the wonderful man and be able to call him my pop

I had the pleasure of having Charlie at my Camper a few times for a meal with my brother Wade. I invited them down for a mothers day meal a few years ago. When we were finished supper he told Wade that he couldn't wait to come back to the camper for fathers day. He said it should be something extra special considering the fine feed they got for mothers day. Lol. I thought the world of him. It was a joy each time he sat to my table for a meal. Rest easy Charlie. My heart is breaking for the Walters family.

My deepest condolences to all of Mr. Walters’ family.
I briefly met Mr. Walters when he was admitted to the Burin Healthcare Centre. He occupied a bed across from my Dad. I helped him when I was there to visit Dad. He was so thankful for anything you did for him. He was such a lovely man.
I can empathize with what you are going through right now.
May God bless each of you and surround you with his love during this very difficult time.

Charlie and I were good friends. We worked together in a logging camp in Glenwood in the early 1960’s. He was the strongest man I ever knew. I had the chainsaw and it was no bother for him to handle the junks. We cut the biggest tree that the camp managers ever saw. It was four feet across the stump. Well, he didn’t lift the first junk, but between us we got it piled. One time we were on the beach of Gander Lake chucking wood of into the water. There was a big junk there, that everyone looked at and no one offered to handle. Everyone agreed that no one could put that one into the water. I would say that no two men in the group of men could lift it, and there were some big men there. It was a huge butt junk, 4 ft. long and almost as thick. Charlie walked over to the big junk, stood it on end and somehow, he got it up across his shoulder and back, walked into the water as far as he could and dropped it into the lake. He won the respect of all. Haven’t seen him for a long time, but I firmly believe we will meet again. Rest in peace Charley, old friend.
