I don't quite know where to begin. Brenda lived up behind my family home pretty much as far back as I can remember. She was such a great neighbor to my Mom and Dad for so many years until their passing. They had nothing but the highest praise for here. Over the last 10 years I got to know her alot better when myself and my wife Dawn would go "out home". I will cherish the memories of her dropping down for a chat on the front bridge which sometimes lasted for hours and the wonderful Sunday dinners we shared at her place. She always welcomed us with open arms as she did everyone. Going home will never be the same for us now but the wonderful memories of her good nature, smile and ability to make you laugh with her stories and songs will make it a little easier. God speed Brenda and make sure you teach the angel choir a few of your more risqué tunes.

Michael, Shauna, Kerri and all the Handrigan and Drake families: God bless all of you in the loss of our beautiful Brenda. A lifetime of memories, laughs, yarns, songs and so much more over the years. She was a true friend and we loved a visit whenever we were able to do it. She was a bright light in my life and I will remember all the good times with a smile. I was so happy to spend the day with her on New Years Eve and needless to say we covered it all. So sad to hear of Brenda’s passing. She will be greatly missed here on “the hill”. Not only by myself and Mike but all our grandchildren who made frequent visits for a treat or a cookie. Mike will miss your stories, your laughs and especially your smile and sense of humour, as well as your tunes. We will also miss the “hi” or friendly wave from across the meadow.

as a young teenager i would often babysit for her to go to Marystown to do her grocery shopping , and alot of occasions so she could go to bingo , always looked forward to seeing her when i would come home on vacations , last time i seen her was at Mr. Howard's funeral n luncheon with my brother Rod ,of course still silly as ever i sat beside her and Gord n Gary and Marie ,never would i have thought that would be the last time i would see her ,RIP dear cousin xoxo Janet Drake Gingras
