Obituary of Frank Barnes

It is with broken hearts that the family of late Frank Alex Barnes Jr. of Fortune announce his passing at his home on Sunday October 29, 2023 aged 56. 

Leaving to mourn with lifetime of wonderful memories, family and commitment through his two sons Dylan (Stephaine) Oxbow, Saskatchewan, Matthew (Courtney) Fortune. He adored his role as Papa to his beloved eight grandchildren Reid, Kobie, Iris, Theo, Connor, Jacob, Addison, Layla; brothers Wilson Grand Bank, Terry (Patsy) Hr. Grace, Bob (Cecila) St. Johns, sister Connie. (Fortune) also a large circle of other family & friends. He will be dearly missed by his dogs whom he loved.

Predeceased by his father & mother Frank & Winnie Barnes.

Frank had many illness though out his life but he kept a positive attitude and was a fighter to the very end. He was a loving & caring person with a great zest for Life. He enjoyed the great outdoors with passion especially hunting with his dog's.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Dialysis unit and BPHCC for their loving care and compassion for the time he spent there.

In keeping with Frank Jr. wishes cremation has taken place.

A funeral service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, Fortune on Friday November 10, 2023 2PM with inurnment following at All Saints Anglican cemetery.

He was a hunter at heart, always seeking adventure in the great outdoors.

His spirit will forever roam free among the wildlife he loved so much.
