Silent Needles
Knit one, purl one, knit two together
Her woollen creations will last forever.
The sound of her needles, clickety clack,
Another row on the counter, turn and go back.
A hobby, a pastime, a talent, a pleasure
Some things to be worn and others to treasure
Her needles now silent, not a sound they will make
But a lesson she taught us, to give more than you take.
