Those who knew Madonna AKA mom, mudder, nan, knew the woman with a heart that didn’t know the word “NO.” If you needed anything, including, including the shirt on her back, it was yours. She gave with pure selflessness. As a mother she was the same, sacrificed for herself to give to her children.
As a grandmother there was no limit to what she would do for her grandkids.
The years haven’t not always been easy. Tragedy struck more than once in her life. Having lost her mother in her twenties, her husband, the father of her three kids, in her thirties, to be follow by her father and only sibling. Madonna being the force that she was, straightened her crown, picked herself up and powered through, always looking out for others and spreading laughter and kindness to all.
The greatest accomplishments were her children, words that she said often. Second to that were her grandkids. Joy on her face when they were in present and in her thoughts always. One of her grandkids wrote, “Ever wonder why I’m such a weirdo? It’s this witty, wild, animal lover, witch lady raised me.” I agree with that statement but would have not wanted it any other way.
We all have a little Madonna in us, I’m proud to say and call her mom. Cheers to you Madonna, now fix your crown and show them you’re still the queen. Put on that smile and dust yourself off and be the Madonna in Heaven as you were on earth.
It’s time mom, time to be free.
“Dance with me”
Don’t say a word, just dance with me.”
