Obituary of Belinda Cox
It is with great sadness the family of Belinda Cox of Grand Bank announce her peaceful passing surrounded by her loving family at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on September 16th, 2023 at the age of 70 years.
Belinda was a wonderful mother and grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. Her favorite thing to do was baking and making desserts. Her fruit flange was the best, she made them for everyone. She loved to make people happy with her desserts but her recipes were kept top secret. Everything she baked was done with love. Belinda will live on forever in our memories.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Corey (Lisa), Sheldon (Rhonda) and Cameron; grandchildren Stephanie (Tristian), Brandon,, Hannah (Roman), Connor, Brianna and Owen; great grandchildren Isaiah, Tristian and Khloe; her partner William (Bill) Harding; step grandchildren and great grandchildren Kayliegh, Skylar, Emmalea, Josh, Max and Ruby; siblings May (Ralph Douglas); Lloyd (Rosalind Downey) and Marina (Harry Clements), Wayne (Ruby) Downey, sister-in-law Marilyn Downey plus many nieces and nephews and a large number of other family and friends.
Predeceased by parents Philip and Minnie Downey; sisters Mary Price (Don), Sarah Fizzard (Joseph) and Jessie Hanrahan (John Pad); brothers Arthur and Freddie Downey ; sister Florence and step great grandsons Ty, Felix and Jasper.
Family will be accepting friends from Serenity Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Tuesday, September 19th and Wednesday, September 20th from 2-4PM and 7-9PM.
Funeral Service to take place from Salvation Army Citadel, Grand Bank on September 21st at 2PM . In keeping with Belinda’s wishes cremation will take place.
Donations in her memory may be made to the family or Heart or Stroke Foundation. No Flowers by Request.
