Obituary of Georgina Alice Abbott
It is with great sadness that the family of Georgina Alice Abbott of Creston South announces her passing at her cousin’s home in Port au Bras on May 23, 2023 at the age of 85.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, sisters Winnie Marshall and Linda Rowe (Allen) and very special cousin Emma Kennedy, brother-in-law Harold Wells, nieces and nephews; Christa, Cory, Georgette, Margaret, Marlene, Ralph, Linda, Wayne and a large circle of family and friends.
Georgina is predeceased by her parents Alice & William Abbott, sisters Margaret Abbott, Ivy Skiffington, & Shirley Wells, and brother-in-laws Scott Skiffington & Gordon Marshall.
Georgina loved life, visiting her family and friends, and attending various events. She had a deep fondness for music and it always showed on the dance floor. She was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord, her church, her family, and the community.
Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 12pm-9pm.
As per Georgina's wishes cremation will take place after the visitation.
A celebration of Life service to follow on Monday, May 29th at 2pm at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Port au Bras with Inurnment following at St. Andrew's Anglican Cemetery.
In Georgina's memory, flowers or donations to St. Andrews Parish Church will be greatly appreciated.
