So sad to hear of Linda's passing. She was such an important part of my childhood. I have so many wonderful memories of her. She was like a second mother quick to take care of your hurts and just as quick to let you know when you were out of line. Linda was there for anybody in need. She was one of the strongest and independent women Iknow. She had deep faith and is now reunited with all her family and friends that passed before her. What a joyous party that is. RIP wonderful lady.

Q: What will you never forget about Melinda?
A: Her smile will light up the room.She always greeted me with a smile and hug.One memory I have of her is sitting at the kitchen table and she would tell me stories of her children and how they were her life.Also her favorite pet named Charlie the bull.He would follow her wherever she went.Her energy for life and her compassion for animals was beyond compare.I will never forget her Christmas Cake that she gave me every year.She was a kind and loving person with a good sense of humor. Oh how she made me laugh.I will miss you my friend.

Leonard, Don, Sharon, Barbara, Ernest and families.......my sincere condolences to you all on the loss of your mother. Many memories come to mind, but it was her elegance that I remember most. She was one of the best dressed women I ever knew, and that, combined with her signature red lipstick, is what stands out for me. Well, that along with the birthday parties I was lucky enough to be invited to. They stand out for the veritable feasts that she provided. After a party at Linda's, the potted meat sandwiches and Purity syrup that showed up at most other parties paled in comparison. Losing our parents is never easy, we never want to let them go, but of course we have to. So many memories will emerge now as you all gather, there will be tears and laughter. Share your memories with each other to celebrate her long life. Thinking of you all as you say "Good-bye" and as someone once said, "She was the salt of the earth"

To the entire family, my deepest sympathies on the loss of the matriarch of your family. Linda was such a big part of my childhood. She had a very kind heart especially for children and animals. I spent endless hours with her as a child and her molasses cookies were second to none. She took me to bingo with her and countless drives. She was kind but definitely spoke her mind :). My deepest condolences to you on the loss of your precious Mother. I had the honour of spending time with Linda and it was the most interesting, fun and loving times that I will always cherish. I know for sure that her children were her whole world. She never did waiver on this being her biggest and most important accomplishment. One of her many other gifts was that she was definitely an animal whisperer especially for Charlie The Bull. I so enjoyed my time with Linda. It wasn’t a lot of time but it was so fulfilling.
Keep her close in your heart and remember that she loved her family hard and is now at peace. Hugs
