Obituary of Roger Harris
It is with great sadness the family of Roger Harris announce his sudden passing at his residence in Grand Bank on January 16th, 2023 at the age of 64 years.
Roger was a mechanic; a career he very much enjoyed. When not working, he took pleasure in hunting, fishing, camping and going for drives. Above all, his greatest love was his family. He had many friends and family, he enjoyed one-on-one with so many. He was a very generous soul; he was always ready to help when needed. He was quick to laugh and enjoyed joking around.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Ramona of 43 years, son Tim (Royseanna) of Grand Bank, daughter Lisa (Tommy) of Grand Bank, brother Howard (Thelma) of Nova Scotia, brother-in-law Ralph (Beryl) of Alberta, Frank of Plate Cove, sisters-in-law Shirley of Ontario, Hazel Harris of Marystown, Nina Harris of Pasadena plus a large circle of other family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Clem and Ida Harris, brothers Edward, John, Clyde, Raymond and Charlie.
In keeping with Roger's wishes cremation has taken place.
We extend an invitation to friends and family to join us at Serenity Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 7-9PM for a celebration of Roger’s life. We’ll be sharing our favorite stories and playing his favourite songs. Our intention is to show everyone that as long as we remember him, a piece of him will always be with us. Please come prepared with funny or uplifting stories & bring your guitars so we know it’s okay to smile through our tears.
