I met Mary about twenty years ago when I visited and stayed with Mary and Wavell in their home. They welcomed me with open arms and love. It was my first trip to Newfoundland and had heard my father (Walt Hooper) talk about his family in Newfoundland. Mary is one of the sweetest ladies I met and will be sorely missed. To the Moulton and Wiscome families, I was so saddened to hear of this beautiful lady’s passing. One thing I will never forget was her dazzling smile and warm personality! I loved her passion for the Salvation Army and the beautiful choruses she always carried with her every day.She was a well loved grandmother by our daughter’s best friend Brittany, and while growing up Viktoria always referred to her as “Nanny Mary”, thus Viktoria had a great respect and love for her. Due to Covid precautions and other commitments I am unable to be at the funeral but rest assured my prayers and love are with you all during this emotional and sad time.

When I heard of Mary’s passing I had tears in my eyes. Mary was a beautiful person and had a beautiful smile that would light up any room ! Mary had to be a good person , it was in her blood to be , just like her momma , Aunt sue and her great grandmother Hooper.
