It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts the family announce the sudden passing of our beloved mom, sister, and aunt, Laura Locke on Saturday, April 10th, 2021 at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center at the age of 54 years.
She is survived by her loving son David (Tim); brother David (Eleanor); sisters Donna (Brian), Sherry (Rick), Joan (Anthony), Patricia and Jeannie; a large number of nieces, nephews and extended family. Special mention to her two nieces Jenna and Katie, who she loved so much and often said they were the two girls she never had; special great-niece Paige who was her little doll whom she loved and adored immensely. Aunt La-La will always love you, Paige.
She was predeceased by her parents Ruby and Norman; brothers Frank and Lloyd and sister Doris.
A very special thank you to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center, medicine ward staff, especially Rosie Hanrahan. Your compassion and professionalism towards our family will always be remembered and we will forever be grateful.
In keeping with Laura’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date.
Laura, how lucky we all are to have had someone to love and be loved by that makes saving goodbye so hard.
When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.’
