Growing up in Burin Bay Arm, I have very fond memories of Uncle Charlie. He wasn’t really my uncle but a close family friend of my parents. Back in the 60’s you called close family friends uncles and aunts.
He was very kind to us young kids, always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye.
It sounds like he lived a good life, and his family will have great memories to carry them forward.
Sending sincere condolences to the family.
Hugs

When we think of Charlie, we both agree that he was one of the most playful, cheeky, and warm people we have had the pleasure of knowing and loving. The first time I brought Colin home to Newfoundland, it was only a matter of moments before Charlie whisked him out to the deck for a yarn. They were out there for a longtime, chatting and laughing, and I remember being so thankful that Charlie was who he was - a friend to any and everyone. His hugs were warm, his love endless, and our memories will live on far past this lifetime. We love you Charlie!
