It is with great sadness that the family Mabel Jessie Francis announce her peaceful at her residence on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the age of 80 years.
Leaving to mourn loving and precious memories husband Gordon of 58 years of marriage; son Merrill Hodder (Maureen) of Burin; daughters Trina Corcoran of CBS, Roxanne Stacey (Fred) of Churchill Falls and Donna Francis of Marystown; grandchildren Gordon Francis (Vanessa Cluett), Shannon Francis (Jody), Cathy Gosse (Berard) of Kilbride and Jay Corcoran; great grandson Nathan Francis; sister Joy Mitchell (Albert) of Creston South; a very dear friend and homecare worker Lexie Darby; many nieces and nephews plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by parents William and Winnifred Hodder; sisters Shirley Nichol, Madge Evans and Myrtle Schurman.
The maximum number of people permitted in each viewing room at one time is 20. All visitors must sign in for contact tracing purposes and masks must be worn at all times. Hand sanitizer will be provided and is to be used upon entering and exiting the building. No food or beverages are permitted in the building. Thanking you in advance for respecting the regulations. Together we can do this.
Family will be accepting visitors from Serenity Funeral Home, Burin on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM.
Funeral service to take place Serenity Chapel, Burin on Thursday, February 4th at 2PM with interment following at Anglican Cemetery, Hodder's Point.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Burin.
