It is with great sadness the family of William (Bill) Duffney of Burin announce his passing at US Memorial Hospital, St. Lawrence on October 29th, 2020 at the age of 80 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories son Freeman; daughters Rosemary (Scott Kavanagh) and Kimm; grandchildren Blake and Jeremy Colbran, special kids Klaire and Kassandra; brother George (Theresa) of Kippens sisters-in-law Emily Frizzell (Jim), Geraldine Hickman, Mary Poulain(Lorne) and Florence Harding (Tim); brothers-in-law James Poulain (Juanita), Gus Poulain (Kathleen Mullett), Clarence Poulain, Gerard Poulain (Bernice), Peter Poulain (Marcella) and Joey Poulain (Susan) plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by wife Evangeline; parents George and Rose Duffney; sisters Jean Duffney, Mary Lundrigan; niece Karen Poulain; brothers in law Vince Lundrigan & Lester Hickman; sister-in- law Theresa Poulain; parent-in-laws Peter & Pearl Poulain; .
Visitation at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin Friday 7-9PM family only; Saturday from 4-9PM and Sunday from 2-4PM and 6-9PM.
Due to Covid 19 only a walk thru visitation is allowed. Please sign in as you enter and sanitize hands as you enter and leave. No food or beverages are permitted in the building. Thanking you in advance for respecting the regulations. Together we can do this.
Funeral Mass will take place will take place from St. Patrick's RC Church, Burin on Monday, November 2nd at 10:30AM with interment following at RC Cemetery, Fox Cove.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the family in his memory.
