It is with great sadness the family of William Kirby announce his passing at his residence on August 20, 2020 at the age 90 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Jerry (Muriel) of St. John’s, Alvin (Betty) of Burin, Wade (Lynn) of Burin and Ford (Ericka) of Marystown; daughters Lois Brennan (Mike) of Marystown, Trudy Lambe (Glenn) of St. John’s and Paula Walsh (Daryl) of St. John’s; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Gordon Baker; sister-in-law Mildred O’Neil plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Bert & Mary Kirby; father & mother-in-law Thomas & Charlotte Evans; wife Edith; infant son William; grandson Robert Brennan and sister Dorothy Rose. In keeping with Mr. Kirby’s wishes cremation will take place. Visitation will be taking place on Friday September 25, 2020 from 11am to 8pm . Funeral Service will take place from Serenity Chapel, Burin on Saturday September 26, 2020 at 11am by invitation only. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ship Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin. “WE CARE.”
