Obituary of Raymond John Abbott

It is with great sadness the family of Ray Abbott of Garnish announces his passing at US Memorial Hospital, St. Lawrence on Thursday May 31, 2018, at the age of 97 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Alice Elizabeth Abbott; daughters Goldie Parsons (Selby) of Little Bay Islands, NL, Judy Nolan (Michael) of Chamberlains, NL, Sherry Stokes of St. John’s, Jo-Ann Grandy (Gerald) of Garnish, NL; grandchildren Steve, Kevin, Michael, Carol, Byron, Kim, Teralynn, Kelly, Aimee, Christopher, Shelly, Melissa, Grace; a large number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother Cyril Abbott (Patsy) of Musgrave Hr, NL; daughter-in-law Judy Abbott of Ottawa plus a large circle of other family and friends.

Predeceased by parents Herbert & Violet Abbott; son Terry Abbott; brother Norman Abbott, sister-in-law Marguerite Abbott.

Resting at Salvation Army Citadel, Friday, June 1, 2018 from 7-9PM, Saturday, June 2, 2018 and Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM.

Funeral Service to take place from Salvation Army Citadel, Garnish on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 2pm with interment following at Salvation Army Cemetery, Garnish.
