I am writing this note of condolences for my mother Anita Cheeseman Pender who I just advised of Bride' s passing. It was with great sadness that we heard of her death. We were in Burin this past fall and one of the things on my mother's list of things to do while there was to visit Bride. They have known each other all their lives and we very good friends. My mother and Mary Antle were best friends growing up in Burin and she and Bride stayed in touch all these years. When we last visited with her she was really happy and hope she remained so to the end. Please accept our condolences and know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. RIP

Bride was a dear, dear friend to me. We became good friends when I was a seminarian in Marystown-Burin in 2002, and remained close ever since. Bride was housekeeper and friend to priests for many years, a great support to us. Bride was a woman of great faith, great volunteer spirit, great minister in St. Patrick's Parish Burin. She, loved to be done up, loved people, loved to laugh and loved a good time. I will never forget her kindness and support to me. I am sorry I can't be there for the funeral, but glad I got out to the wake last night despite the weather. Rest easy my friend, May God Grant you eternal rest. I will never forget you....
