I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Skipper Phonse.
We were connected through FPI and I had the privilege to sail with him on the delivery voyage of the M/T Zory.
As well, we connected on numerous propulsion system trials on both the Zory and the Zurita.
Skipper Phonse was always a straight shooter and this I appreciated very much.
Please accept my sincere condolences.

Polly, Donna (Mark and Maria), Greg and my love, Derek. It breaks my heart that I am not able to be there with all of you, but I find comfort in knowing you are all there together to celebrate the life of your husband, father and pops. Truly a blessing to finally meet Phonse and Polly this summer, we felt so welcomed, like we've known each other forever. We will treasure our first of many visits to Newfoundland, all thanks to a wonderful family. Phonse, you were a trooper, you fought hard, we know you didn't give up, it was just time to sail on...Love you all

To Polly and Family. I was so saddened to hear of Phonse's passing today. I only got to know Phonse in the past few years from his Friendship with My Father Kevin Fitzpatrick. But in all my encounters with him I left feeling like I had known him all my life. He was such a genuine man. Always a smile for me and a few great yarns. I've spent past 2 Summers in Fresh Pond Park and looked forward to my evening walk hoping to run into you guys at your camper. I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my prayers. Dad sends his condolences also and wants you to call him if there is anything he can do. Take care xoxoxo
