Hi Julie, Guy & Family,
We were saddened to hear of Aunt Mae's passing. She was an inspiration and friend to me while I was ministering in Burin. I will always remember hot soup on a cold day, a pair of handmade double gloves and a strong toddy drink when I had a cold. Yes....even that too. You will miss her I am sure as will the Church community. Our deepest condolences and warmest memories of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A treasure to all.
God Bless you,
Rev. Glennis & Mr. Ern in Nova Scotia

We were so saddened to hear of the loss of your Mom. We well remember and enjoyed the many visits that she made to Western Bay with Uncle Jim. She quickly became our Aunt and part of our family and we thought the world of her. We would always make sure that there were plenty of blueberries picked so she could make her famous blueberry grunts that we all loved. Her main job while visiting us was to make some grunts and pies to freeze so we could enjoy them well after her and Uncle Jim returned back home. Of course, they both loved berry picking while visiting Western Bay also. We will always remember her for her pleasant personality and caring ways and the great hospitality she had shown our family whenever we visited and stayed with her and Uncle Jim in Burin; they would always be saddened when our visit was over. Please know that we are all sharing in your loss.

There are few words that can be said about Aunt Mae that have not already been said. I will always remember that little lady with the biggest smile and heart you will ever have the chance to meet in a life time. it seems strange to have her gone and i know the next time i come home and go to church, not having her there for a hug and kiss will surely have an emptyness inside me but I know her well, and she will still fill that church ever sunday with her thoughts and soul and will remain with us forever. By the way Lindsey, she is still my Aunt Mae....Giggle.
Love Clarence.

To Julie and Family, my deepest sympathy. There are no words to take away the pain, but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am saddened that I will not see my dear aunt/cousin again. Her thoughtfulness and kindness have always been a happy memory for me, and especially her patience while teaching me to knit. I will miss her very much when I get back to Newfoundland again.
