Hi Uncle Lou, Ruby, Louie, Luanne, Aimee, & all the family,
I was shocked to get the call on Wednesday of Aunt Maxine's passing, there is no way anyone can be prepared for that. She is fine now, it is you guys I think of. Like everything in life, when someone passes we look back trying to recall the last time we saw that person. And some memories. Well the last time I saw Aunt Maxine was at Sobeys in September, she was with you Uncle Lou & we chatted about how fast the time flew because DJ was in school.
I stopped at your house Halloween, Uncle Lou's sweet smile greeted me that day.
Some memories I have: Ruby when Darren & I got married, you & your mother visited one day & I was so surprised to learn where my rock garden is, is where your mother grew up, I thought about that when I heard the news on Wednesday.
And like you Ruby she was so happy for us when we had DJ. I remember bringing him to the plant in his carrier & she'd come & see us in the lunchroom everytime, And of course I worked with her for about 20 years, she'd always cook something for us on night shift, shhh, don;t tell Murray, lol. We were kids going to work there, thinking we had forever, now in my 40's I realize life in a TRUE GIFT. I remember when I visited her in ICU at the Health Sciences & Ruby you told me she recognized my voice. She was so blessed to come out of that.
And then She & Uncle Lou, you guys showed up when Dad almost died 2 years ago. We don't see each other a lot but were always there for the bad times.
So many memories, Louie I remember playing with Ruby when we were kids & when your mother came home from work, she always had a treat for her boy.
I remember her pregnancy with you Luanne & telling her this baby has to look like Uncle Lou because Ruby & Louie were like her.
I could go on & on but these have been some of my memories the past few days. Take care, be there for each other like I know you will, FAMILY is so important & I know you all mean so much to each other.
