Obituary of Pius Jones

It is with great sadness that the family of Pius Jones of Parker's Cove announces his passing on Monday, April 15th at the L.A Miller Center, St. John's at the age of 83 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Marie; sons Pius (Stephanie) of St. John's, Anthony of St. John's, Harold (Chastity) of St. John's, Shawn (Suzanne) of St. John's, Brian (Lisa) of Mount Pearl and Darren (Linda) of Paradise; daughters Frances Fitzpatrick (Terry) of Parker's Cove, Irene Gaulton (Brian) of Parker's Cove, Leona Moores (Bruce) of Marystown, Mercedes Francis (Rick) of Marystown, Amanda Janes (Carl Critch) of Paradise and Vera Hancock (Darren) of Paradise; 28 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Florence Barry and Cecilia Pearson (Bill); brothers Anthony (Angela), Ambrose (Marg), Eugene (Geraldine), Felix (Kay), Peter (Margaret) and Dolph plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Irene and Peter; sister Lucy and brothers Gerald and Tom. Resting at Our Lady of Lords RC Church, Parker's Cove Tuesday, April 16th at 2PM and all Wednesday. Funeral Mass to take place from RC Church, Parker's Cove Thursday, April 18th at 2PM with interment following at RC Cemetery, Parker's Cove. Donations in his memory may be made to Our Lady of Lords RC Church, Parker's Cove or flowers gratefully accepted.
