Mrs. Pike and Family,
Sorry to read of George's passing. He was a great fellow and we loved the times we spent together at your home in Burin Bay Arm and at the campgrounds. There comes a time when all of us have to park our campers and take another trip to a far greater campground. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. ''

Yvonne, Al and Family,
So sorry to learn of your Father's passing. Even though everyone says things like "he is better off where he is now" it still does not displace the pain, the sorrow, or the helpless and empty feeling.
It is sadly part of the circle of life...the one major take away from losing my Mom two years ago was that our family came out the other side of the ordeal stronger and closer than ever before. This would be my hope for your family as well.
God bless.

Dear Alma and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you on the passing of George, your beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Alma, you and George raised a wonderful family, and modeled for us what marriage and family life is all about. George was our friend of sixty years, since we first began our ministry in Burin in 1959. He was a good man and upright. His pleasant, fun loving, and generous nature endeared him to young and old everywhere. We thank God for his long life and his Christian witness, and commend him to the Heavenly Father in the certain hope that we shall meet again.

My sincere condolences to Mrs. Alma and your family. I am so saddened to hear of Mr. Pike’s passing. I know that he lived a very happy and fulfilled life and that he was loved by all who knew him. Of course, I most fondly remember my days spent working alongside the two of you at Pearce High School. You both were always so pleasant and full of advice for the young person that I was back then. I remember my breaks and lunches spent chatting with you in the kitchen and hearing all about your adventures while camping, an activity you kept up for many years after retirement. I am so sorry that I’m unable to visit the funeral home to pay my last respects but please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace ‘Cotton Top.’ You’ll be sadly missed by a lot of people.
Much love being sent your way from Wanda (nee Cheeseman) and Martin Baker and Family

It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolences to Mrs.Pike and the family. Mr. Pike was a great neighbour and a great friend. From the numerous chats in the shed with my husband to the many times that he checked in on me to make sure my doors were locked. He was always there to help and he will be greatly missed.

Although no words can really help to ease the loss of Pop Pike, just know, Pop, that you are in everyone’s thoughts and prayers. Pop was a man who loved to laugh and he was quite witty. Those who knew him well can attest to his sense of humor, and he would always have many stories to share. The true test of a man is not how LONG he lived, but HOW he lived . . . and Pop certainly knew how to live. From his Barbie doll in the trailer or to the special gift he gave (to his sons and grandsons) on their wedding day, Pop always had something funny to share with those who came to visit. I have endless wonderful memories of Pop and each one brings a smile and chuckle. When we were young, we always looked forward to visiting our grandparents because we knew Pop would take us to the high school (Pearce) and let us play on the equipment in the gym. We also know that it would always be followed up with ice-cream from Pop at the canteen. He loved his family; he was always happy to see you come and never wanted you to leave. He would always say, “There’s lots of time”. I was lucky to have spent endless hours listening, talking, and laughing with Pop, and I am truly grateful for those memories . . . I will always cherish that!! Love, Darlene
