Please share a memory of Kay to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness the family of Kay Pike of Burin announce her peaceful passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on January 11th,2024 at the age of 70 years.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her loving husband Giles; sons Kent (Eileen) of Iqaluit and Glen (Jaye) of Burin; precious grandchildren Ethan, Keagan and Charlotte;  siblings Jessie, Neil (Deann), Paula (Maurice), Brent (Maizie) and Karl (Gladys); brothers-in-law Alfred (Willie) and Bill (Winnie); sisters-in-law Daisy (Kevin) plus a large circle of other family and friends.

Kay was married to the love of her life Giles for 46 years and was the proud mother of sons Kent and Glen who blessed her with 3 beautiful grandchildren Ethan, Keagan and Charlotte. This was her biggest life achievement but Kay done so much more.

Kay was a hairdresser for 37 years and each one of her clients became her friend. Once you met Kay you knew her for life. She could always be counted on to put a smile on your face and perk you up when you were feeling down.

She loved to take care of anyone that needed help and always had a meal for anyone her door was always open. She loved to give and always put others before herself. Her motto was "it is better to give then to receive".

She loved her church and always helped out in any way she could. She always could be depended on and was a faithful contributor to any function or fundraiser that was on the go.

She loved her pets and they were treated as members of the family.

Her laughter and smile will be missed by many but she will always be known for her generosity.

"Go Rest High on the Mountain, Kay."
