It is with deep sadness that I learned of Larry’s passing. I was childhood friends with Denise and spent so many days at their home and especially at the cabin. Larry was a truly kind and good man. He always made me feel welcome, and I have such fond memories of his warm smile and the look he’d give us when he knew we were being a bit cheeky—always amused, never unkind. Those moments have stayed with me, and I will always cherish them.
Each year when I came home, I always made a point to go looking for him to catch up and visit. I was so proud to introduce him to my girls. The last time I saw him, he met me in front of the cabin with a big grin and said, ‘well, look what the cat dragged in.’ I shall miss him deeply.
My sincerest condolences to Montie, Denise, and Dean.

Lisa and I are so sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. A kind, bright soul, with an infectious laugh, I always enjoyed chatting with Larry at the cabin while enjoying a drink (we both developed a love of good Scotch). Whenever I’d get a good joke in, Larry would laugh heartily and say, “You’re your father’s son alright!”. He has done so so much to help my father in tough times. From driving him to St.John’s for eye appointments, to leading him in walks to the cabin. When Dad’s eyesight became too poor to find his own way, he would walk behind with an outstretched hand on Larry’s shoulder, every single step of the way, until they reached one of their favourite destinations. Monnie, Denise, Dean….our thoughts are with you and all the family. Larry was a special man and we are so privileged to have known him.

Monnie, Denise, Dean and families, our sincere condolences on Larry’s passing. I had the pleasure of spending time with Larry and Don for many summers of salmon fishing, crib, and a few sociables at the cabin-fond memories that I will treasure always. Larry was a good man who will be missed. Take care at this difficult time. Emma, Mary and Jody

My dear friend Monnie, Denise, Dean, and of course, Christopher plus all of Larry’s and Monnie’s extended family.
Words can never express how I feel for all of you today and how I feel for the loss of such a brotherly friend.Of all the treasured and precious memories we all share, Larry and you Monnie were two of the best friends we have ever known in our 70+ years. You were always there for us,especially during the raising of our daughter Viktoria.. from 1980 to 1989 we shared the love of our precious children, Denise, Dean and Troy and then Viktoria came along. She always loved and cherished both of you, and she always talks about the Beautiful memories of her childhood with you two.
We both cried together, and Don said he was very shaken over Larry’s passing. To have memories is one of the most wonderful gifts God has given us because at the end of the day memories are all we have. Monica you and Larry certainly made wonderful memories and I’m sure you have enough to last you forever and ever. He loved his children unconditionally, and that was Larry.
He helped Don build this house that we now still live in and he was always at our beckon call, with nothing more than a smile and a tremendous helping hand. He always amazed me with his versatility from his knowledge of Geography to is knowledge of every Trade imaginable.
My deepest and saddest condolences to you all and always remember, we are connected by one of the greatest cements in the world and that is friendship.
Love and sincere regrets,
Don and Viv

Monnie, and all of the family.
My Heartfelt condolences. My memories of Larry goes back to when my kids were young and we would go across the pond to my sister's cabin. Larry was just a few doors up from my sister Viv's cabin. They were good friends, therefore when we visited which was many weekends/vacation we got to know Larry and Monnie. Larry was a great man. He was kind, welcoming, very genuine and most of all a good family man. I hope at this difficult time you will find comfort in all of the beautiful memories you shared. Hugs Monnie.

Mrs. Monnie, Denise and Dean, I wanted to send a little message and tell you how sorry and heartbroken I am for you over the passing of Mr. Larry/your dad.
Mr. Larry was such an important part of my childhood and I have so many fantastic memories with him. I used to go to your cabin for a visit as soon as we’d go across the pond and feel just as comfortable as if it was my own. I always put him in the “dog house” as soon as I got there and he still always had candy for me as well as a bonfire on the beach for my marshmallows and spider wieners.
We spent so many weekends doing bike trips in the country, every Halloween making a special visit and also many Christmas Eve’s together. I’m so grateful he was such a big part of my many cherished memories. I’m sure you have many wonderful memories as well to help you through this very difficult time. Sending love to you all. Love Viktoria(his funny face)
