Obituary of Bridget Mary Alexander
It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of the late Bridget Mary Alexander of Frenchman’s Cove announce her peaceful passing on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the U.S. Memorial Health Centre, St. Lawrence, at the age of 88 years.
Bridget was a loving mother and grandmother whose world revolved around her family; she placed their needs and happiness above all else. A woman of unwavering faith, she was deeply devoted to her church and found great peace and joy tending to her gardens. Her legacy of love and devotion will bloom forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Bridget leaves behind her two daughters, Anne Hiscock (Ronald) of Fort McMurray, AB, and Gina Alexander (Roche) of St. Lawrence, NL; grandchildren Kelli, Colin, Shannon, Christopher, Faith, and Nathan; great-grandchildren Madison, Ethan, Cohen, Alexandria, and Zachery; and siblings Madonna, Loretta, Patrick, Kevin, and Leon, plus a large circle of other family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ida and Patrick Drake; her husband, Gerald Alexander; her sons, Christopher Alexander and Stephen Todd Alexander; her brothers, Isaac Drake and Ernest Drake; and her sisters, Lucy Pittman and Gladys Drake.
In keeping with Bridget’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life service at a later date.
