A man of melody and movement, George’s life was defined by the rhythm of his guitar and the call of the open road. He was never happier than when he was "having a scattered tune" with his friends, and though many of his fellow musicians went before him, the music never truly stopped.
Together with his beloved wife, Nellie, George explored every corner of his home province. From the rugged cliffs of the Avalon to the quiet coves of the Great Northern Peninsula, they shared a lifetime of adventures under canvas and stars.
George was the bedrock of his family. A man of quiet strength and tireless work ethic, he dedicated his life to providing for those he loved, ensuring they had everything they needed and more. His legacy is not found in possessions, but in the many ways he touched the lives of those who knew him.
In keeping with George’s cremation will take place .
