Obituary of Carol Wiscombe
Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 surrounded by her loving family, Carol Wiscombe of Winterland at the age of 92 years.
She leaves to mourn with loving memories son David Brett (Jennifer) of ON, daughter Donna Rouselle (David) of ON; grandchildren Adam Rouselle (Stephanie) of ON, Holly Calver (Colin), Sarah Brett of ON; great-grandchild Isla Calver; sisters Rebecca Beasley, Ida Hollett (Charles); extended family Albert Wiscombe (Regina), Glen Wiscombe (Linsey), Dave Wiscombe (Peggy), Baxter Rose (Beverly), Chelsey Rose (Bertha); son-in-law Clarence Myers; special great nieces Rebecca and Robyn Hollett, nephews Roy Hollett (Patricia), Derrick Hollett (Amanda ), Joseph Beasley (Ashley), Rodney Beasley (Tammy) and close family relatives, and a large circle of friends.
Predeceased by her parents Joseph & Ida Kirby, husband Roy Brett, Chesley Rose & Charlie Wiscombe, step-daughter Joyce Myers, brother-in-law Frank Beasley
A special thank you to the compassionate and dedicated home care workers Brenda Simms and Verna Vardy. We are also grateful to nurses Jennifer Brett (daughter-in-law) and Jeremy Peddle for their exceptional care.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her sisters best friend. She embraced life fully, enjoying every day with an unwavering dedication to her church and her beloved Burin 50’s club, TOPS NL4945 family and her Knit and Chat group. All dear to her heart. Carol cherished her fishing trips with her fishing buddy Charles. Carol was always the first to lend a helping hand when needed, leaving a legacy of kindness and love..
Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin, on Friday November 21st , 2025 10 a.m. to 12 noon (family only) and from friends 2-4pm & 7-9pm & Saturday 22nd, 2025 2-4pm & 7-9pm.
Funeral service to take place from Serenity Chapel, 95 Main Street Burin on Sunday November 23rd, 2025 2p.m. with interment following at Grace United cemetery Winterland, NL.
