Obituary of Madeline Loretta Brushett

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Madeline Loretta Brushett of Creston NL at her home on Thursday September 4, 2025 at the age of 91 years.

Leaving to mourn are her son Tony, daughters Julie & Cathy, Madeline’s pride and joys her granddaughters Halee (Jory),  Juliea (Shawn) & Faith; brother Frank, sister Marjorie Mitchell (Irving), many nieces & nephews, special friends Cyril & Dianne Beasley, Agnes Pitcher.

Predeceased by parents Samuel & Dinah Wiscombe, husband Gordon, son Sandy, daughter in law Kimberly, son in law Stan, sisters Ida, Margaret & Beatrice, brothers Herbert & Jack, sister in law Elsie.

Visitation will be held on Sunday September 7, 2025 from 1-4PM & 7-9PM at Serenity Funeral Home 95 Main Street Burin.

Funeral service will be held at Salvation Army Faith & Hope Corp, 407 Creston Blvd Creston on Monday September 8, 2025 at 2: 00PM with interment following at the Salvation Army cemetery, Big  Salmonier.

Donations in her memory accepted by the family on behalf of the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation.
