Rosie Moulton

Obituary of Rosie Helen Moulton

Please share a memory of Rosie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Surrounded by her loving family, Rosie passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at her residence in Port au Bras, at the age of 78 years. She and her husband, Bill, shared a beautiful 60 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Rosie will be lovingly missed by her devoted husband, William (Bill) Moulton; their children Stella Roff (Denny), Shirley Taylor (Ernie), George Moulton (Jody), Sonya Jorgensen (Mark), and Stephen Moulton; her grandchildren Brandon, Bradley (Ashley), Jason (Cynthia), Shelly (Colton), Kelly, Evan, Ethan, Dominic, and Destiny; and her great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Kaden, Olivia, and James; Fur baby Snickers.

She will also be remembered with love by her brothers Howard Evans (Mercedes), Randell Evans (Cathy), Reginald Evans (Norma), and Fred Evans (Lynn); her sisters Hannah Taylor, Laura Hodder (Jim), and Jessie Power (Andy); her brothers-in-law Ron Moulton (Alberta) and Gilbert Moulton; her sister-in-law Donna Evans; as well as a large circle of extended family and treasured friends.

Born in Femme, NL, Rosie was proud of her children and grandchildren and loved to hear about their lives, accomplishments, and interests. Her home was the heart of the family — the kitchen and dining room always alive with the smell of home-cooked meals, the sound of conversation, and the warmth of welcome.

Rosie embraced life fully. She loved family and friendships, parties and backyard gatherings, reading, conversation, singsongs, cooking, knitting, sewing, card games, and a good laugh. She and Bill had an enormous circle of friends, and special occasions often grew into bigger gatherings where friends became family. Her friends, children’s friends and family were always welcomed into both their home and their second home - her most cherished trailer in Fresh Pond Park. There, singsongs at the picnic table became a beloved tradition, the air filled with music, humour, and the joy of togetherness.

Rosie’s quick wit, love of a clever phrase, and talent for bringing people together created a legacy of laughter, love, and resilience that will carry her family through life’s challenges.

Rosie is predeceased by her brothers Merrill and Jerry Evans; sister-in-law Madge Evans; brother-in-law Wilson Taylor; great-granddaughter Elsie Clarke; her parents Simeon and Winnifred Evans; and mother-in-law Adelaide Moulton.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to her special nurse Robyn Lundrigan and Dr. Le as well as nurses Cindy Mayo, Jennifer Barter, and Sharon Fewer
