Obituary of Cory John Cheeseman
With a deep sense of sorrow and loss, our family announces the passing of our beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. Cory John Cheeseman on Friday June 20, 2025, at the age of 51.
His memory will forever be cherished by his by beloved wife and best friend Tonya of 34 years; children Chantal(Cody), Carter (Zoey), Carson (Grace); grandson Grayson; parents Joe & Betty Cheeseman; siblings Jody (Phoebe), Kenny (Crystal); parents-in-law: Edgar & Brenda White; brother-in-law Toby (Melissa); nieces & nephews: Katie, Kaylee, Emma & Riley and as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and cherished friends.
Cory is predeceased by grandparents Lucy & Michael Power, Mary & John Cheeseman.
Cory was the most genuine and kind soul who would drop anything to lend a hand, no matter who you were. His kids meant the world to him. Especially his first grandson, Grayson. Above all, nothing surpassed his love for his children with whom he shared most of these passions. They made his already expansive world feel whole. Of all the roles Cory filled in his life, the one that defined him most was being a father, and he was the best. Cory’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him. Cory's memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing him. his legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around him with his kindheartedness, generosity, and unforgettable spirit.

The family will be receiving friends at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin on Thursday June 26, 2025 10AM-9PM & Friday June 27, 2025 10AM-9PM.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday June 28, 2025 11AM at Zion United Church, Collins cove.
