
Obituary of Chesley Cluett
With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of Chesley Cluett on the early moments of Tuesday April 8, 2025 at Blue Crest Interfaith Home, Grand Bank at the age of 84 years. Leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Just 2 weeks before he passed, he and his beloved wife, Mary, celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary—a testament to their deep and enduring love.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary of 59 years, sons Richard ( Debra), Michael (Pat) both of Ontario, grandchildren Richard (Brianna), Ashley, Anthony (Ferdiye), Crystal, Miranda, great-granddaughters Mia & Melody, siblings Helen Chafe, Margaret Ellsworth, Mary (Max Hillier), Alice Snook, Leslie (Donna), sisters in law Alfreda Cluett, Betty Rogers & Mary Rose, nieces & nephews - and special pet Maggie plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Chesley & Mary Cluett, Mary’s parents Richard & Minnie Rose, siblings Emily, James, Theresa Maude, Lily, Violet, Louis and Manuel.
Donations in his memory may be made to United Church, Grand Bank or Burin Peninsula SPCA.
Family will be receiving friends Serenity Funeral Home Grand Bank on Thursday April 10, 2025 from 11AM-12PM family only, open to friends from 2-4PM & 7-9PM.
Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 13 Church Street Grand Bank on Friday April 11, 2025 11AM.
In keeping with Chelsey’s wishes cremation will follow after service.
