Dean was a kind and compassionate man. A teddy bear behind a tough exterior. His dedication in life was his family first and foremost before anything else. His second greatest passion in life was his love for hunting. He would often take it upon himself to take a trip alone to look for moose, caribou, ducks, and bears, but his most favorite hunt was those with the people he loved the most. From his memorable trips to the "Bus", trips to Beaver Pond, Trips to "The Camper", and his most recent trip to Middle Ridge. Of all the years hunting his greatest trophy was the 22 point bull he shot in 2014.
Deans work life spent many years as a carpenters laborer, but later in life joined his only sons business venture and found joy in giving his boss orders. This only son was often referred to by the his siblings as "The Golden Child" they were so much more then Father and Son, they were Best Friends. They hunted together, they worked together, and they confided in each other, they had a bond like no other. He will always be remembered for his devotion as a Husband first, A Father, A brother, A son, but most of all A friend to whomever needed one!
The Brushett family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at BPHCC Emergency Departmemt, Med/Surg and Chemo Department as well as the staff of 4 North B at the health science center. He may be remembered by the staff for his famous saying "Have you been told yet today" which was always met with a questionable look by staff, to which his witty response would be " You're the best" we would also like to extend a special thanks to his brother Derrick who spent countless hours by his side and helping his immediate family in a time when he could not do it himself.
Deans biggest wish in life was for everyone to keep peace ✌️
