
Obituary of Elias Clarke
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elias Clarke of Little Bay East announce his passing the Dr. S.Beckley Health Care Center, Grand Bank on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the age of 81 years.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Cynthia of Little Bay East, sons Percy (Gail) of Little Bay East, Elias (Pauline) of Bay L’Argent, Johnnie (Gloria) of Little Bay East, Sammy (Brendalee) of Grand Falls-Winsor, 1 daughter Colleen (Dion) of Bay L’Argent, 10 grandchildren, Kaylee, Drew, Lynette, Brianna, Michael, Marisa, Bradley, Josh, Harrison and Emma; 6 great grandchildren Leo, Lincoln, Aiden, Savanna, Jacob and Jayden; 2 step grandchildren Garrett and Mateo; sisters Ida Moulton of Red Harbour, Ellen Lockyer of Burin and Esther Burton of Little Bay East and a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Elias and Lucy Clarke, brother Cecil Clarke; sisters Mary Florence Baker, Emily Jane Butler And Shirley; granddaughter Kaitlyn Clarke; parents-in-law John and Mary Saunders; brothers-in-law Arthur Saunders, Baxter Saunders and Winston Saunders and sisters-in-law Jessie Smith and Ida Clarke.
Elias will be remembered for his feisty character, his love of the sea and his witty stories. He always had a tale to tell.
As per Elias wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service as per his request.
