
Obituary of Robert Bob (Dave) Peddle
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Robert “Bob” (Dave) Peddle. He passed away at home in Lewin’s Cove on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025 at the age of 73.
He leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 50 years Patricia, sons Michael of Mississippi, and Matthew (Brenda) of Marystown, NL; grandchildren Jarod, Ash, Luke, Kyleigh, and Kameryn; siblings Elizabeth Sheppard of Harbour Grace, NL, Sidney Peddle (Beverley) of Harbour Grace, NL; mother-in-law Elizabeth Hiscock, sisters & brothers-in-laws Marlene, Carolyn (Ed), Jeanne, Peggy (Darryl), Cathy (Steve), Sheila (Charl), Brian (Tammy), and Rusty and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Robert and Maud Peddle, father-in-law John Hiscock, and in-laws Mike, Gord, Keri, Liz, Wilson.
Bob was devoted to his family and spending quality time with them was the most important thing to him. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, and a doting grandfather. In his career as a teacher, Bob made a lasting and positive impression on the lives of his students. They loved his style and good natured attitude. Bob was known for his warm smile, great sense of humour, his kindness and generosity. Outside the classroom, he was also an avid golfer, spending entire days on the course. He would often play 54 holes with his buddies or anyone on the course who needed a fourth.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on Thursday February 6, 2025 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin.
Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Friday, February 7 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Peter's Anglican Church in Harbour Grace.
