Ida is fondly remembered for her vibrant and dynamic personality, and her many gifts and skills. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, maternal figure, and friend to many, expressing her care for those around her with generosity, patience, kindness and humour. Ida was smart, stubborn, inquisitive and opinionated. She told truths and spoke her mind, whether you liked it or not, about everything from your haircut to your life choices. Ida loved shopping and always wanted to check out the thrift stores to see if they had anything new in. She relished having spirited discussions about the latest goings-on, in which of course she was always right. She loved berry picking, camping, always up for a social, she loved good food especially the desserts and sweets. Ida  was the friend who got you singing, dancing, playing bingo or cards. Her stories, candor, and kindness will be deeply missed. If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever. Everyone who knew her will miss her as a very special and irreplaceable person in their lives.

Predeceased by husband Cecil Clarke, second husband Gerald Clarke; special friend Leslie Sheppard, parents William & Nellie Pardy, step-mother Aggie Pardy, sister Sarah Pardy, brother Harvey Pardy, sons-in-law Calvin Smith, John Roger’s, Thomas Clarke, grandchildren Dennis Rogers, Baby Rogers, Baby Clarke, parents-in-law Lucy and John Clarke, sisters-in-law Emily Jane and Mary Florence.
