Obituary of Gertrude (Gertie) Maude Broydell

It is with great sadness the family of the late Gertrude (Gertie) M. Broydell of Burin announces  her passing at the Health Science Centre, St. John's, NL at the age of 81 on Thursday October 26, 2017.

Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories, husband George of 57 years, daughters Cindy (Anthony) Kelly and Cathy (Eugene) Dimmer. Four grandsons Tony (Jessica), David (Nikita), Jonathan & Bradley and three great-grandchildren Micoya, Jordan and Nicholas. Brothers Roy (Phyllis), Roland (Marie), sisters Marion (Bill), Jessie & Melvina plus a large circle of other family and friends.

Predeceased by parents Bertram R. and Susie B. Foote, brothers Eugene & Wallace, sister-in-law Joan, brothers-in-law Eric and Dan.

Family will be receiving visitors from Serenity Funeral Home, Burin on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 3-9PM and on Saturday from 10AM - 1PM.

Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 3PM at Bethany United Church, Burin Bay Arm in keeping with her wishes cremation will follow.

Donations in her memory may be made to Bethany United Church or flowers gratefully accepted.
