Obituary of Richard Allen Edwards

It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Richard Allen Edwards, aged 78 years at his home in St. Bernard's, NL on Tuesday April 25, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 11, 1939 to loving parents William and Josephine Edwards in Hibbling, Minnestoa, United States. He is also predeceased by his loving wife and lifelong partner Loretta; parents Josephine and William Edwards and  brothers Bill & Paul; father and mother-in-law Austin and Florence Mary Myles. A proud father he will forever remain in the hearts of his daughters, Peggy (Greg Meyers) of Columbus, Ohio, Debbie Banfield (Gene) of Conception Bay South, NL, Tammy (Mike Downey) of Fort McMurray, AB, Jodie Edwards of Faber, Virginia, Shelly (Woody Campagnon) of LeDuc, AB. Pop/Big Pop will also be sadly missed by his 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; He will be fondly remembered by his sisters; Charlotte, Mary Jo, Sharon, Margaret and brother Neil (Charlotte) and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. In keeping with Richard's Wishes cremation has taken place
His family will be receiving visitors at Sacred Heart RC Church, St. Bernard's on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 2-4 PM, 7-9 PM.
Funeral mass will take place with Father John Evans Arhin on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:00 Am with inurnment following at Sacred Heart RC Cemetery, St. Bernard's, NL.
Donations in his memory may be made to Sacred Heart Parish, St. Bernard's or a charity of one's choice.
