Passed peacefully away at Blue Crest Interfaith Home Grand Bank , on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025 Jane Baker at the age of 85 years, surrounded by her loving family.
Leaving to mourn are her children; George (Judy), Elsie, Dennis (Brenda), Eric (Diana) and Nancy; her grandchildren Janice, Amanda, Travis, Tyler, Amy, Alicia, Jenna, Barbara, Rodney, Kyle and Emily; great-grandchildren Annabella, Alyssa, Julianna, Brady, Cassie, Robert, Sara, Arya, Christianna, Sophia, Troy, Lincoln and Lilah.
Jane is predeceased by her parents, Irene (Abbott) and Wesley Crowley, her husband Frederick in 1992, infant daughter Christine, daughter Freda, sons-in-law Rodney, Clyde, and brother Randell. Jane's love for her family was the central theme, a constant and unwavering presence that shaped generations. She loved every moment with her loved ones, her eyes twinkling with joy, during family gatherings. Faith was another cornerstone of her life. She found comfort and strength reading her bible daily.
She loved adventure. Jane had a real zest for fun. She looked forward to her Sunday drives, whereby it might be a boil-up or cold plates by the side of the road, especially Garnish, Fortune, and grave pits. She also loved her many trips around the province and outside of the province. She loved to cook for her large family on many occasions, and desserts were one of her favourites. She eagerly loved it when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren came for a visit, for it was an opportunity to play Skip-Bo, Trouble, and Scrabble.
We miss her dearly, but take comfort in knowing she lived a full life, rich with love and cherished moments.
Rest in peace, Mom. You will forever be in our hearts.
