Sincere condolences to Joe's family. I have a find memory of running into him at the garage up Fortune Road three years ago when I wss home. He recognized me and we had a lovely chat. I have fond memories of growing up next door to his grand parents and just over the fence to their place. I have so many fond memories with your family,they make up such a big part of my childhood. I’ll never forget the kindness and companionship Joe showed me on those taxi rides every other weekend, or the way your home always welcomed me like I was one of your own. We are deeply saddened to hear of Joe's passing. We have such pleasant memories of him in Grand Bank, sitting around Nan's or Aunt Charlotte's table or down at the cabin at L'Anse-au-Loup. You could always rely on Joe to be jovial and raise the spirits of everyone in the room with a funny story or a witty remark. His kind heart was evident to all who knew him, and his positive outlook persisted even when we last went see him at Blue Crest Home. While we regretfully cannot make it to Grand Bank due to work commitments and the expected snowstorm, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Love, Annette and Uncle Milton

Sorry to hear of Joe's passing. We grew up together on the same street in Grand Bank and were good friends during our boyhood years. Moving away after high school I lost touch but I always remember the good times of our youth, playing soccer, playing road hockey and delivering coal with his father's horse and cart. To Joe’s family. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I knew Joe while growing up in Grand Bank. We use to play soccer in the old UC school field along with his brother Bruce and my brother Randy. I saw Joe from time to time when I would get a taxi ride from St John’s to Grand Bank and again when I would get gas at Corner Autobody . He always had a smile and a friendly greeting RIP Joe
