My sincere condolences to Leo’s family. I worked with Leo at the fish plant in Marystown, and always found a true friend in him. Leo had many gifts and talents, but I believe one of his greatest gifts was a warm hearted smile and a compassionate ear for every person he knew.

To Jeanette and family, Bob and family and all Lo’s relatives of Lanes’ that we grew up with in Catalina, I express my condolences on hearing of your loss. I have very fond memories of the time we spent growing up in Catalina. Life took us down different roads but you never forget your youth. Jeanette, Janice, Susan, Ryan and family I was saddened to read of Leo's passing. He was a great man, with a great smile whenever you saw him and will be surely missed. Leo always made me feel welcome and he was always welcome at our home. Had a few great times with him and Jeanette whether mummering or playing cards or just dropping by and having a chat and maybe a social to go along with it.
