We were saddened to hear of Tom's passing. He was one of the kindest, generous and most patient man we've known. We are grateful for the times we've spent with him over the years and have always enjoyed our visits. He will be missed dearly. Even though we can't be there for Tom's service, we are thinking about you all and sending our sincere condolences.

Aunt Glad, Margaret, Lois, Paula and family, We were shocked and saddened to hear about Uncle Tom’s passing. Uncle Tom was a very special person. I have some memories of Uncle Tom when he first came to Seal Cove. I was only a little girl around 7 years old but even at that young age Uncle Tom left a lasting impression. I have many memories over the years…Visiting Grand Bank with my parents, the cabin and camping in your camper. Uncle Tom was a great friend to my Dad especially after my Mom’s stroke. Dad always looked forward to his phone calls and visits. After my Dad’s passing Tom sent me a collection of stories my Dad shared with him. Today I’m sitting at my kitchen table rereading those stories. Thank you Uncle Tom for being so kind and thoughtful to My Dad. My heart is heavy today as I think about the family and the loss of a very kindhearted soul. Sending our deepest condolences. Rest In Peace Uncle Tom

Uncle Tom, A true gentleman and very humble. I always admired your desire to dig deep in the history and heritage of Newfoundland. Your recordings of “Tales from Pigeon Inlet” that you loved sharing. I left home at an early age. But I always remember coming home and I truly loved those nights over Christmas holidays when Dad would say “let’s go visit Uncle Tom, he always asks how you are doing in the Forces” You would share some of the new technology from computers to recently IPTV lol and recordings of Nfld shows, anything you felt would interest me. I loved putting you on the spot and asking if you could pull out the accordion. Once or twice you pulled it out and would play a quick jig. And Aunt Glad would be giggling and surprised you did it. She would say “your some lucky cause he won’t play in front of people much”. I share this picture of you and Dad at his 70th Birthday at the cabin. You will be missed by many and especially Dad. You were a brother that he looked up to I know and he could always rely on you to help with computer problems and all that tech stuff as he would say. “I’ll just call Tom, he knows how to fix it “ how true that was. but never forgotten, may you rest in eternal peace.
